Flipping the Iceberg / Charisse Walker

They seemed wonderful.
Then you got to know them.

Understand what’s beneath your relationship patterns—and where you can begin to change them.

How often have you met someone, felt a connection, and thought, “This could be it”—only to discover a side of them you hadn’t seen?

Maybe the surprises came slowly. Maybe you noticed something early but hoped it would change. Or maybe you’ve found yourself in a familiar relationship problem with a different person.

What we see at first is only part of the story. Beneath the surface are beliefs, expectations, fears, and habits that shape how we connect.

Join Charisse Walker to explore what’s beneath your relationship patterns, recognize what matters to you, and make more intentional choices.

Why this workshop exists

You’re fighting over the dishes.
But it isn’t about the dishes.

A sink full of dishes. A sharp comment. Suddenly, you’re having the same argument again.

Maybe one of you feels unappreciated. Maybe the other feels criticized. Beneath the argument may be an expectation nobody has said out loud—or a feeling that has been building for a while.

The dishes are what you can see. What’s underneath is what you need to understand.

Flipping the Iceberg starts with looking beneath the surface, in yourself and in your relationships. What are you bringing into the conversation? What do you need? What might the other person be experiencing?

This workshop is a place to begin.

What you’ll walk out with

Find. Transform. Intentionally Love.

01 / Find

Recognize the beliefs, fears, and habits beneath your relationship choices. Start noticing what keeps showing up—and what you may have overlooked.

02 / Transform

Look at the expectations you brought into relationships and consider which ones still serve you. I’ll share how my own fairy-tale picture of marriage met real life, starting on our honeymoon.

03 / Intentionally Love

Explore what it means to treat yourself with worth and respect—and bring that same intention into your relationships.

One hour won’t resolve everything. It can give you language for what you’re experiencing and a clearer place to start.

Four doors. A place for you.

Wherever you are in relationships.

Single · Discover

Understand your patterns before you choose your next relationship.

Engaged · Uncover

Look beyond the excitement of the wedding toward the relationship you’re building.

Divorced · Heal

Reconnect with who you are and explore what you want to carry forward.

Married · Reconnect

Understand what’s beneath familiar tension and approach your relationship with fresh intention.
Who’s teaching

I’m Charisse, and I lived this before I wrote it down.

I’m a Marriage and Relationship Strategist, a mother of six, and the author of Flipping the Iceberg.

Before any of that I taught interpersonal relationships and group dynamics to thousands of college students. I have a degree in sociology and a master’s in business, so I knew the research.

And I still ignored the warning at nineteen.

My second marriage started rocky, rocky enough that I could feel the old pattern reaching for me again. I didn’t leave. I looked underneath it instead. We’re still here.

From readers

What people say after they’ve sat with this.

“amazing insights in discovering one’s compatibility with a potential spouse through honesty and genuineness, while flipping the iceberg of one’s personality that lies beneath, helping one to enjoy longer lasting relationships”

Dave★★★★★

“Definitely recommend if you’re looking to improve your relationship with yourself and others. I really appreciated both the introspection it gave me and the ideas on how to look and love others.”

Papa J★★★★★

“Helps you think differently about preparing and setting expectations in a relationship. It also reframes how you can take ownership for your own past and behaviors you are bringing forward.”

Anonymous★★★★★

“Great reflections and ideas on making sure you understand wants vs needs. Evaluation of goals and relationships. Highly recommend”

Anonymous★★★★★

“Charisse is amazing at sharing her thoughts and experiences. I’m a fan.”

Tracy★★★★★

“I’ve already learned how much unresolved hurt, fear, and past experiences can affect the way we see ourselves and our relationships. Flipping the Iceberg gave me practical tools to recognize what was happening beneath the surface and begin healing the issues I had carried with me.

Because of what I’ve learned, I feel more prepared to choose a partner based on shared values, emotional health, and genuine compatibility, not simply attraction or potential. This has helped me grow into a healthier person and given me a stronger foundation for creating the kind of lasting relationship and marriage I want in the future. I would recommend it to any young adult who wants to heal, grow, and make wiser choices in love.”
